Your own Dark fibre network in the Netherlands

Relined provides network capacity throughout the Netherlands. Thanks to a network spanning a distance of more than 13,500 km in the Netherlands, we offer a high degree of granular density. The choice of location, alongside railway lines, means that the route is both unique and usually also the most optimal solution in terms of distance, which has a positive effect on the latency.

In the Amsterdam region, which includes the towns of Hilversum, Hoofddorp and Aalsmeer, we offer our own metropolitan network, to which almost every (carrier-neutral) data centre has a redundant connection. Within this network, we offer competitive fixed rates, short distances and a 1 to 3 week lead time.

Data centre connectivity

The security of a dedicated fibre-optic network is further enhanced when the connected company’s critical ICT equipment is also placed in highly secure data centres. More than 110 carrier-neutral data centres in the Netherlands currently have (redundant) connections to Relined’s Dark fibre network.

Interconnection capabilities

From the Netherlands we have interconnection points at various strategic locations with our networks in neighbouring countries, including an offshore cable – the COBRA Fiber Optic Cable – to Denmark, various nodes to Germany and we also offer connection possibilities towards Belgium and the United Kingdom. On the other side of the border, we can either include your connection in our own network or connect you via one of our network partners.

With Dark fibre: a fibre-optic connection without active equipment where the user decides what equipment should be used and arranges services. This type of connection is not shared with others and is fully managed by the user. You have complete control over connectivity and the services that use the connection. In addition, you can easily protect your Dark fibre infrastructure with encryption and send your data securely over an encrypted line. This makes Dark fibre much more secure than shared connections where you are dependent on a service provider.

Furthermore, you can scale up based on your own connectivity needs and you have access to unlimited bandwidth without incurring extra costs for your connection.
